WHAT MAKES THIS BOOK DIFFERENT?
When I started this book project naturally the most common question asked to me was, "Why bother writing another VW book?" Hasn't everything possible already been written & published about the Volkswagen? Just about, and I would know having over 125 Volkswagen books in my personal library. But with each book, I found the main problem that bothered me was that the history chapters never included all the different air-cooled VWs together. It was always a separate history chapter or book for each. I'm sure many others thought the same way so for the first time as a service to all VW enthusiasts, I have compiled every fact from each model VW and included them in perfect chronological order as they happened in conjunction with all the facts from Volkswagen's history.

Did you know that the first Beetle Prototype was built in 1936!
And although the basic look stayed the same for the next 44 years, it did change every year and I have a chapter documenting all these changes that I am sure everyone will enjoy. There is also a chapter that does the same for the bus.
The Advertising Chapter
Do you remember all those great VW advertisements from the sixties into the seventies that you saw in magazines such as LIFE and LOOK? Well you are in for a treat as I take you behind the scenes to the masterful minds that look at things from a different perspective and created an advertising campaign that has not only won numerous awards, but it is still making it into the top 100 in poles conducted today by TV Guide.
